If this is the one with store manager named Chris, it's disgraceful. I wish I could rate it zero stars. Yesterday, 07/29/17, my step-dad was working on my car and needed a part. He normally uses a different store, but they were sold out of what we needed. This store had it. Went in, it was chaos. Phones blaring, cashiers on phone didn't even wave to acknowledge us when we walked up. We stood there quietly for several minutes while employees ran around hollering loudly to each other. Finally someone said "I can help the next person over here" and he said it in a testy voice, as if he were doing us a favor. I walked over to him and was in the middle of a sentence when some guy walks up behind us and shouts "I need XYZ!" Salesperson Chris -who I later learned was the store manager- interrupts me in the middle of a sentence to turn to the man behind me and say "I can help you with that!" He then proceeds to stand there talking to this man for several minutes while my mother and I stare at each other in shock. Finally, he turns back to us, and as I'm again trying to explain what I need, the phone rings and without even saying "hold on, ma'am" he picks it up and starts talking -AGAIN, interrupting me. If this hadn't been the only place with the exact part I needed, I would have already walked out. Finally he turns back to me, I tell him my dad called and asked for a part to be held for us, and he goes to get it. My step-dad is military and told my mom not to forget to ask for a military discount. Chris comes back and shoves the part in my face without a word. My mom says "Do you give military discount?" He says "yeah" so she hands over her military ID. I'm taking out my credit card and he grunts "last four?" Just like that. No bothering with complete sentences. As I'm not military, and as I have been asked for the last numbers of my credit card before when using the swipe pad, I asked for clarification. "Do you mean the last four on my card?" In the rudest voice you can imagine, Chris responds, "if you're military, you should know what the last four is." THAT'S HOW YOU TALK TO CUSTOMERS?? I said "Sir, I'm not military." He finally huffs "I need the last four of your social." My mother said, "Sir, my husband is the one in the military, but I have my own military ID and I've always been allowed to use it for discounts. I've never been asked for a social before, so I'm a little thrown. Do you need mine, or his?" He said "Well if he's the one in the military, I need his." My mom said "OK, please give me a moment to get him on the phone, I don't know it off the top of my head." While she was dialing the number, he went ahead and rang me up, without waiting for the discount. At this point, I surely didn't care about that 10% as I was completely livid with this guy's attitude. I paid and told my mom "Let's go. NOW." We went to another auto store for some other random parts we needed, and while we were there and the (very helpful) gentlemen were talking to us, we told them of our experience at O'Reilly. They said "Was it Chris?" When I told him it was, that's when they told us that he was the store manager there. I was incredulous. They said they had gotten many, MANY customers in their store, complaining about Chris over at O'Reilly, and how rude and unprofessional he was. One of the gentlemen commented, "O'Reilly hiring Chris was literally the best thing they've ever done for OUR business. We get tons of customers in who say they will never shop there again because of how he treated them." I just... if the MANAGER behaves this way, what hope does the rest of the store have? I am disgusted and will be letting everyone know about my experience. And my step-dad, a certified army mechanic who does a lot of work on the side for friends and family and therefore has to get a lot of parts, said he will go out of town from now on if another store doesn't have the part he needs, before he will buy anything from O'Reilly.
